Medical Readiness Review
Medical Readiness Review
A 60-minute consultation with a surgeon and offshore mariner, covering your crew’s medical training, your vessel and destination, and the equipment currently aboard.
You keep a written summary. It sets out, in priority order, the gaps in your equipment and what to add, the items to replace, the training that would most improve your crew’s capability, and specific changes to your emergency planning.
What we review
• Crew medical knowledge — who has training, what kind, and how current it is
• Vessel and destination — boat, crew size, route, and realistic time to definitive care on each leg
• Equipment aboard — contents, redundancy, expiry, storage, and fit for your next passage
• Protocols and contacts — written guidance you could follow under stress, and current telemedical and rescue coordination details for your cruising grounds
After you order
We will email an intake questionnaire. Return it with photographs of your medical locker and an inventory listing quantities and expiration dates, then choose a time that suits you. Book six to eight weeks before departure so there’s time to order what’s missing and complete any recommended training.
Kits from any supplier are welcome, including kits you have assembled yourself. The fee covers one vessel and all participating crew.
